Good Luck everyone, I hope that true justice will be heard. Often the native community is quiet in nature but perhaps this time we can all unite in voice and spirit to let the noise of the in justice done to these children be heard, Children who by forced apprehension and adoption were forced to assimilate to the white mans world or be beaten and abused until they saw the light of the white mans ways as better than the native communities teachings. They were robbed the opportunity of their cultural heritage and taught and expected to reject it. Later in life they found difficulty in finding their way in perspective to where they belonged within the community, neither accepted by white or the native communities they were stolen from. These children foundered in an abyss of uncertainy and most still to this day can not return to the communities from which they originated because they have dwindled in strength and size and no longer exsist their parents and grandparents relocated and scattered to the winds if they do manage to return they find the drums silent and their native traditions and teachings have long disappeared, their native languages replaced with white peoples words and superceded by a white social society as a whole who decided and determined without research or supporting evidence that assimilation would be in their best interest. I often wonder what the results would be if the African American population of say Georgia was assimilated in that fashion… the answer is civil upheaval and unrest of a volume so loud it would be heard around the world.
Time to speak out my people and let your voices be loud, be clear, be concise and be heard around the world. May the spirits be at your side during this endeavor to justice, hold tight to each other and stand as a community as a whole.
